The Rednersville Road Art Tour

We cordially invite you to soak up the serenity and creative atmosphere of the Rednersville Road Art Tour in Prince Edward County. A lovely twenty-kilometre stretch of land along the south shore of the Bay of Quinte, the Rednersville Road has attracted folks for well over two hundred years. It was one of the earliest parts of the County to be settled by the Loyalists – the waters of the Bay provided food and easy transport for the families homesteading in a wooded and marshy wilderness. The sandy loam of the banks, once cleared, nurtured apple trees, livestock and a living that became the envy of Upper Canada.

Times change and most of the old orchards are gone, but the Rednersville Road still draws new residents. The blacksmiths, coopers and farmers of yore, have given way to the present-day creators of fine arts and crafts.

Whether you call it the Rednersville Road, Prince Edward County Road 3 or the Front Road (as it is known by older local families), join us from Highway 33 at Carrying Place or from Highway 62 at Rossmore. Take one, two or three days to see our studios and workplaces as well as enjoying some spectacular views and gardens.

Our doors are open on the Labour Day Weekend from 10 am to 4 pm. Watch for the signs at each studio and workplace.

Have a wonderful time!
