Esther, a fibre artist, is a creator of clothing, accessories and fun objects made from wool, silk, cotton and other exotic materials. Esther has been weaving for 40 years and received her certificate of weaving from the OHS program in 1990. Over the past 15 years, Esther has been exploring the ancient art of wet felting. This exploration has allowed her to travel and work with master Felters. She is also passionate about hand-loom weaving, spinning, dyeing & knitting.
Esther also runs a home-based business, called What’s Weft (since 1983), selling fibres, spinning equipment and teaching people to create their own felted works. Esther is thrilled to be part of the RRAT for her 3rd year as a guest artist of Iris Casey, at 18 Carriage Lane.
