Artist Statement

The land has a powerful and beautiful story to tell. And by listening to the language of the land, the water and sky, I have attempted to imprint that story by way of my work.

Through my palette, brushwork and aesthetic, my contemporary paintings transcend and interpret; capturing the weight and ancestral dialogue of my homeland, Iceland and its continuous change.

As well, the unique Canadian terrain has such unmeasured beauty that it also has captured my interest.
